Okha Town

Okha is a small coastal town in Jamnagar district of Gujarat. Okha has a sea port and is famous for the Krishna Temple Bet Dwarka that is dedicated to Krishna on the Bet Dwarka Island across a tiny creek from the Okha port.

This coastal town is located along the narrow strip of land that goes into the sea. Okha is surrounded with sea on three sides and a sandy beach on the Arabian Sea coast. There is a port on the lee side. On the other side of the small creek lies the Bet Dwarka.

Okha is a very busy port, strategically located in Gujarat that has a lot of historical significance as well. According to the historical facts, Okha was the first port on the western coast on India. Large scale export business is carried out from the port that consists of mainly aluminum ore bauxite as well as the chemicals manufactured at Tata Chemicals Limited.

Dwarka city is situated at a distance of 30kn from Okha.
