Historical Monuments in Jamnagar
The famous historical monuments in Jamnagar are the Darbargadh Palace, Pratap Vilas Palace, the Lakhota Fort, Bhujio Kotho, Bohra Hajira, the Solarium and Kotha Bastion.
- Kotha Bastion
The Kotha Bastion has an old well where you draw water by blowing into a small hole in the floor but the other main attraction is its collection of coins, inscriptions, copper plates, skeleton of a whale and old coins: a museum worthy of visit to know the ancient culture of this region.
- Darbargadh Palace
This is the old residence of the royal Jam Sahebs of Jamnagar, a fusion of European and Hindu architectural styles with fine carvings and extremely detailed work such as the jail screens, mirrors and balconies.

- Lakhota Fort
Now a museum, Lakhota Fort is located on an island in Lakhota Lake, home to the Maharaja of Nawanagar. The museum showcases swords, muskets, powder flasks and other artifacts of that period. You can also view sculptures from the 9th to the 18th century.

- The Solarium
This is the legacy of Maharaja Kumar Shri Ranjit Sinhji, built with a view to treat patients through exposure to sunlight.

- Bohra Hajira
The Bohra Hajira is located at the entrance to the city and stands on the banks of the river Rangmati. It is magnificent and a testimony to the skills of craftsmen of that period.
- Bhujio Kotho
Located alongside the Lakhota Tank near Khambhaliya Gate, the Bhujio Kotho is an ancient monument that towers up five floors. The purpose was to protect the city as testified by the presence of thick walls with holes for rifles and guns. The Kotho houses a large water tank. The structure is now in ruins due to an earthquake and visitors are not allowed.

- Pratap Vilas Palace
This lovely palace was built when Maharaja Kumar Shri Ranjit Sinhji ruled the city and has a number of domes done in the European style overlaid with Indian styles. Of the several domes, three are made of glass and the columns are adorned with carvings of flora and fauna, giving a natural aura to the interiors.

- Willingdon Crescent
This shopping arcade was built during the reign of Maharaja Ranjit Sinhji after his trip to Europe and it has beautiful arches and lovely arcades, made just for a wonderful shopping experience.
